Hi everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We just left New York and are currently in Las Vegas for MAGIC. This is my first time at this trade show, so I’m super excited. I can’t wait to share my adventures at MAGIC with you.
I love New York – the people, the culture, the energy, the architecture, the food, the fashion! Every time I leave New York, I look forward to coming back. New York to me is the perfect dessert. Layered with so much complexity, it is meant to be savored one moment at a time. However, when consumed too much, it leaves you feeling overwhelmed. That’s why I’d love to live in New York just a few months out of the year, preferably Fall onto early Winter. Being in New York taught me that mind over matter sometimes does work. When it gets too cold, thinking warm thoughts does warm up the body. But if that doesn’t work, a thick shearling leather jacket will do the job. I got this beautiful piece while battling Chicago’s winter last month. The shearling is plush, the leather gently distressed, and the closure uniquely finished with an industrial feel. I basically lived in this jacket while in New York and secretly wish LA will get cold so I can wear it over and over again.
The Bloglovin’ Awards was yesterday. While getting ready, I was so anxious that I kept on reaching for the iron instead of the blowdryer and accidentally painted my nails with a layer of base coat instead of a top coat. Even though we didn’t take home the award, we feel honored just to be nominated. My heart literally swelled up with joy when I read your emails, Facebook comments, tweets, and messages before, during, and after the awards night. Thank you so much for your support, encouragement, and love!
Talk to you soon! The next blog post will be from Las Vegas!!!
