It’s been a month since I moved to NYC and I can honestly say I love every minute of it. What I love most about this city are the gems waiting to be discovered around every corner… that little coffee shop a street or so down, a charming bookstore a few minutes away… And every discovery calls for a rediscovery to fully take in the charm of each place. It was just one day out of the many days that reminded me why I love this city so much.
I spent the morning grabbing coffee at The Elk in West Village and afterwards headed to the Chelsea Flower Market. After picking up some fresh blooms, I took a stroll to the Housing Works bookstore in SoHo.
I ended the day decompressing by surrounding myself with heavenly scents, cuddling with Sammie, and getting lost in a book. I find that lighting candles help me de-stress and reset. There’s a sense of peace and calmness about it that helps put my mind at ease. I personally love clean earthy floral scents. Of the Henri Bendel candle collection, my favorites are Eucalyptus & Sea Salt, Lemon & Fig, and Vanilla & Sandalwood. Laced with notes of peach, rose, and vanilla, the Vanilla & Sandalwood candle evokes the smoky aromas of autumn mornings. Pairing citrusy bergamot and lemon with elements of Mediterranean fig, the Lemon & Fig candle strikes a balance between earthy and crisp accords. Capturing the essence of rolling waves, the Eucalyptus & Sea Salt candle perfectly balances the brightness of chilled orange and freshness of eucalyptus leaves.
I hope you enjoyed the photo story and styling. Happy Friday and thank you so much for reading! And special thanks to Henri Bendel for partnering on this post!
