Happy Friday everyone! For the BOSS Womenswear fashion show, I wore this thick (thank goodness!) long coat and centered my styling around it by keeping the rest of the outfit simple with a little black dress and layered necklaces.
When it comes to shoes, this is the most challenging thing for me to wear – tights or stockings with pumps. Unless they have Mary Jane straps or are boots/booties, my feet slip out of my pumps every time I wear hosiery. I’ve researched the issue and even tried adding silicon pads to help grip the stockings to my pumps, but even that doesn’t work. As a temporary fix (as seen here with these pumps), I wear thick tights that are a tad too long, pull up the extra fabric, and stuff it near the front of my pumps. It basically helps tighten the toe box giving me the ability to walk better. By any chance, do you also experience this problem? And if so, are there any solutions to it? I would love the ability to wear tights or stockings with pumps comfortably =)

For me, when I think about Hugo Boss as an overall brand, I think about professional wear. Clean and tailored men’s and women’s suits. Mystery Man’s first suit was Hugo Boss, and when my best girlfriend and I were working at the bank, Hugo Boss was synonymous to quality and a rite of passage to the professional working world. So when Jason Wu was appointed as creative director of the BOSS womenswear line, I was naturally intrigued. Staying true to fine tailoring, it’s clear that Wu studied Hugo Boss’s DNA and respected the brand’s key pulse points. His debut collection incorporated menswear details, such as structured suits, tailored coats, and pointy loafers, while infusing his personal design esthetics with sleek doctor-like bags (on my wish list!), embellished skirts and feminine dresses. His interpretation of the BOSS woman is one who works hard (beautiful suits for office wear), appreciates sleek silhouettes (tailored coats), and enjoys feminine elements while gravitating towards menswear-inspired designs (semi-sheer dresses with pointy loafers). I personally love his debut collection. It’s polished and modern, charming yet refined. I can’t wait to see what he has in store for BOSS next season!
Thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful weekend!
